For decades, environmental advisers have faced the challenge of ineffective waste management. In real terms, the challenge was simply getting segregation right at source. Getting people to put their waste in the right bin.

We've gone beyond that now and in the BEST course, we don't just talk about the waster hierarchy, we talk about the circular economy and resource management.

This is one of the biggest issues within sustainability. We live in a throw away society with no expectation to repair and reuse. We take resources, make products, and when we're done with them. they're simply discarded.

The circular economy concept flips this linear wasteful system on its head. It becomes a loop:

1️⃣ Design Better: Products are built to last longer, be repaired, or reused.
2️⃣ Reuse & Share: Instead of throwing things away, we share, repair, and refurbish.
3️⃣ Recycle Smartly: At the end of a product's life, its materials are recycled into something new—wasting as little as possible.

In natural ecosystems, nothing goes to waste. We already have the blue print!

Not only is this approach good for the environment, its a higher efficient use of recourses which also saves businesses significant expenditure.
